Terms of use

Last updated: 1 September 2026 · Draft pending legal review

These terms govern the use of TrueRoaster. By creating an account you accept what follows.

[01]Acceptance

By registering with TrueRoaster you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you disagree with any part of them, do not use the service.

They address both players and teams; where a rule applies to only one of the two, it says so.

The contract is entered into with «legal entity», whose identifying details appear in the legal notice.

[02]What TrueRoaster is

TrueRoaster is a recruitment platform that connects League of Legends players and teams using statistics obtained from the official Riot Games API.

In this version the service covers League of Legends in Spain and Europe. It includes no chat: players and teams talk to each other on Discord.

To use TrueRoaster you need a Discord account and, as a player, a Riot Games account. Both are governed by their own terms, which are not ours. TrueRoaster is not answerable for those services or for what happens on the Discord servers linked from a profile.

The service is provided as it stands at any given time, and we may add, change or withdraw features.

[03]Your account

You need a Discord account to use TrueRoaster. We create no passwords of our own and never ask for anyone else's.

Each Discord account gives access to a single profile, either a player's or a team's, and to one team only. The platform enforces this technically: it is not a recommendation.

You are responsible for what you publish and for keeping it truthful and up to date, and for everything done from your account while you are signed in.

You must be at least «minimum age» to register.

[04]Riot ID and verification

The Riot ID you type is your own claim: when you register it we check that the account exists, not that it is yours.

To verify it we ask you to wear a specific summoner icon and read it back from the Riot Games API. An unverified profile is always displayed as such.

While nobody has verified a Riot ID, several people may claim it. As soon as somebody verifies it, the remaining claims on that account lapse: those profiles stop syncing and stop appearing in the listings, and their owner can correct the Riot ID from their settings.

If you believe somebody has verified a Riot ID that belongs to you, write to «contact email» and we will look into it.

Deliberately claiming a Riot Games account that is not yours is grounds for closing your account.

[05]Acceptable use

Do not publish illegal, offensive, discriminatory or harassing content, and do not impersonate another person, team or organisation.

Do not publish other people's personal data without their consent, and do not link to Discord servers that are neither yours nor your team's.

Do not use the platform to extract data in bulk or by automated means, to work around its technical limits, or to resell or redistribute other users' information.

Do not attempt to reach accounts, data or parts of the service that are not yours, and do not interfere with how it runs.

Breaching this section may lead to the content being taken down or the account being closed, under the section that follows.

[06]Content you publish

You remain the owner of what you write on your profile or your team's.

By publishing it you allow us to display it inside TrueRoaster so other users can find you. That permission is free of charge and non-exclusive, and ends when you delete the content or the account, without prejudice to backups that expire on their own.

You warrant that you have the right to publish what you publish and that it infringes nobody else's rights.

Statistics obtained from Riot Games belong to Riot Games and are displayed under the terms of their API. The rest of the site — name, design, text and code — belongs to «legal entity» or to its licensors.

[07]Illegal content and complaints

If you find content on TrueRoaster that you consider illegal or contrary to these terms, you can report it by writing to «contact email». Tell us the exact address of the page, what the content is, why you believe it is unlawful and how we can reply to you.

We will acknowledge your report, review it diligently and non-arbitrarily, and tell you the decision and the reasons for it. If content is removed or blocked, we will also tell whoever published it, with the reason for the measure.

Anyone whose content is removed or whose account is closed may reply to that notice setting out their case, and retains in any event the right to go to court and any other avenue of redress the law affords them.

«contact email» is also the point of contact for authorities. We handle communications in Spanish and in English.

We may suspend the handling of manifestly unfounded and repeated reports, after warning whoever sends them.

[08]Plans and payments

Players use TrueRoaster for free. Teams additionally have paid features for candidate analysis.

This version processes no payments in-app: the amount and the means of payment are agreed outside it and recorded in the history for information only. Prices are understood to be «tax inclusive or exclusive».

Published prices are indicative until a plan is actually arranged. We may change them on reasonable prior notice; a change does not affect a period already invoiced.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Account section of your dashboard. In a team, cancellation is exercised by whoever created it.

Cancellation takes effect immediately and returns the account to the free plan, with the resulting loss of access to paid features. A period already invoiced is not pro-rated, unless the law requires it or something else was agreed.

If the plan was arranged through an external payment gateway, cancellation has to be done there for the charges to stop.

[09]Right of withdrawal

If you take out a paid plan acting as a consumer, you have fourteen calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason and without penalty, counted from the day it was entered into.

To exercise it, all you need to do is tell us your decision unambiguously at «contact email» before the deadline. You may use the statutory withdrawal form, though you are not obliged to.

We will refund what you paid without undue delay and, in any event, within fourteen calendar days of receiving your notice, using the same means of payment you used.

If you expressly ask for the service to begin within that period, you will owe the proportionate part of what has been supplied by the time you withdraw; and if the service has been fully performed with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you would lose the right, withdrawal is no longer available.

Teams contracting as businesses or professionals are not consumers, and this section does not apply to them.

[10]Availability and warranties

The service is provided with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability: there may be outages for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, such as the Riot Games API going down.

The statistics depend on what Riot Games returns. We do not guarantee they are complete or up to the second: they are refreshed at most once every twenty-four hours.

The compatibility score and the candidate report are an aid to assessment, not a verdict. The method behind them is explained in the privacy policy.

Recruitment decisions belong to the teams and the players. TrueRoaster takes no part in them, does not verify users' identity or intentions beyond what these terms describe, and is not answerable for their outcome.

Nothing in this section excludes the guarantees the law affords consumers.

[11]Liability

We are liable for damage we cause wilfully or negligently, as the law provides. We neither exclude nor limit any liability the law does not permit us to exclude — in particular for wilful misconduct, for death or personal injury, or liability owed to consumers.

Within those limits, we are not answerable for recruitment decisions, for other users' conduct or the content they publish, for the accuracy or availability of Riot Games data, or for third-party services such as Discord being unavailable.

So far as the law allows, our liability towards a user on a paid plan is limited to «liability cap».

Neither party is liable for a failure to perform caused by force majeure, for as long as it lasts.

If a third party brings a claim against us over content you published or over a use of the service contrary to these terms, you will answer for the damage and costs it causes us, to the extent they are attributable to you.

[12]Leaving and account closure

You can leave whenever you want, following the procedure described in the privacy policy. In a team, it is whoever created it who can leave on its behalf; the other members keep their accounts.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, giving notice wherever reasonably possible and explaining why. Where there is an immediate risk to other users or to the service, suspension may come before the notice.

Once an account is closed, the profile stops being reachable and stops appearing in the listings. What happens to the data is explained in the privacy policy.

Closing an account does not remove the billing records, which are retained as a legal obligation, nor does it affect amounts already accrued.

[13]Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. We will update the date in the header and, when a change is material, tell you in-app before it takes effect.

Continuing to use the service after that date means accepting the new version. If you do not accept it, you can leave at no cost.

[14]Other conditions

If a clause turns out to be void or unenforceable, it is treated as not written and the rest stays in force.

Not enforcing a clause on one occasion does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.

We may transfer our position under this contract in the event of a corporate restructuring or a transfer of the business, on prior notice and without diminishing your rights. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.

These terms, together with the privacy policy and the legal notice, are the entire agreement between the parties on the use of TrueRoaster. On data protection matters the privacy policy prevails.

We publish these terms in Spanish and in English. Where the two versions differ, the «prevailing language» version prevails.

[15]Governing law

These terms are governed by «applicable law».

For any dispute the parties submit to the courts of «venue», without prejudice to the venue the law grants to consumers.

Before going to court you can bring any complaint to us at «contact email», and we will try to resolve it.

[16]Riot Games legal notice

TrueRoaster isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.
